Gull Street

"Stroll to the beach"

Another 'gem' on Bribie Island tucked away in beautiful Woorim.
Beach style village atmosphere.

Tarooki Street

"One Street Off the Water Front"

As you cross the Bribie Bridge (Paradise) you make a sharp left onto Sylvan Beach Esplanade, which runs along the foreshore of Pumicestone Passage (Marine Park). Surreal sunsets over the Glass House Mountains, parks, BBQ's, Marine rescue and boat ramps. Tarooki Street is one of the very few streets that run one row of houses back and parallel to a stretch of Sylvan Beach Esplanade. Location Location.

Old Bar

"Go The Kombi Festival"

Just visited Old Bar for the 2013 Kombi Festival and enjoyed every minute of it! I don't know how quiet the town is once the hundreds of visitors have left, but what a great ocean front location. Well worth the road trip down from Bribie Island. Thanks guys, we had a great time.

Ocean Parade

"Great Spot To Visit"

I parked the motor home at the Park Beach Caravan Park for a couple of days on the way down the coast. Ocean Parade is within walking distance of everything you need or a short taxi/bus ride. The locals are friendly and the atmosphere what you would expect of beach front living. I did find it a little odd that the Cafes and Eateries all closed of an afternoon, which meant travelling to dine out for an evening. I live on an Island, so the closer to the ocean I am, the more at home I feel.

Clifford Street

"Byron Bay - What More Can I Say"

I have just recently spent a few nights at the Suffolk Beach Holiday Park which is at the end of Clifford Street on the waterfront. I love my Bribie Island, but I could happily live here for part of the year. Friendly locals and chilled out shop owners. Hi to the best Indian take away at the Yellow Flower Indian Diner.

Sunderland Drive

"Main Artery Into Banksia Beach"

Depending on which end of Sunderland Drive you live on. Sunderland Drive runs past the Pacific Harbour canal estates on the left and protected parklands on the right. The Arts and Craft centre and Banksia Beach State Primary along with the Island's second largest shopping centre are also on Sunderland Drive. At the Banksia end of the Drive is Sylvan Beach and views to the Glass House Mountains.

Alpinia Avenue

"A Great Little Avenue"

Alpinia Avenue has just one draw back. School start and finish times. Banksia Beach Primary is a fantastic school but caters for some 800+ students, so parking is 'wherever' the Mums and Dads can find it and more often than not, that is in Alpinia Avenue.

McDowall Street

"Where Bush Meets Beach"

Locals refer to this end of Bongaree as 'Red Beach' after the beach you can walk to, which is also an 'off leash' beach for the pooches. Close enough to walk to restaurants, cafes and the RSL.

"The Country Life"

If you enjoy the country life on acreage and still want to be a short drive to Bribie Island and the ocean, this is where you should look. Don't expect any nightlife or eating out without taking a drive.

Great Crescent close to the waterfront with transport at your door. Located just off Bribie Island it makes the commute just that bit shorter if you are driving to Brisbane for work.

Mary Street

"Are We There Yet"

A perfect example of the last of the hidden fishing villages. You do not move or holiday at this fantastic location for the 'nightlife', unless the nightlife you are looking for is sitting around the open fire exchanging fishing stories.

Fantastic canal homes on one side and lush green parks on the other. You don't get much closer to the can exit to the pristine Pumicestone Passage than this location. Walk to the waterfront, shops, lawn bowls, croquet, school, you name it and you can walk to it. Or walk down to your private pontoon and fire up the boat.
