My wife and I have never had problems accessing GP services. The local hospital provides basic but professional services using local GPs and fly in doctors on weekends. Serious complications are transferred to the Gold Coast, Armidale or Newcastle. Sometimes I don't know where people get their information from. If you want all the bells and whistles, live on the Gold Coast. Most people move here to get away from that lifestyle. Scheeesh....
Sorry to post the question about Glen Innes doctors as I have just rung some doctors in GI at random & all the receptions stated they don't know where I obtained my info from but they are all taking new patients, in fact 2 new doctors have just been appointed to one practice! Dunmoving states there is only 3 doctors in Glen Innis & none are taking new patients, to see a doctor you must go to another town. As we are retries looking for cool climate country town this is concerning. Plus the talk of the town bidding for a Nuclear Power Station (which I honestly think will never happen) but still!
