Is Joondalup a good place to live if you need to commute to perth centre?

It is very far away but it is on the train line. Lots of migrants live there when they first arrive but in my experience they soon realise how far out they really are and move (and the cost of transport eventually outweighs the cost of living a little closer and paying slightly higher rent)
