The Lenah Valley area is well resourced with public transport. The bus service runs into Hobart approximately every 10-15 minutes during the morning peak. The evening peak service runs from Hobart to Lenah Valley approximately every 5-15 minutes. Off peak times both to and from the city run approximately every 20-30 minutes.

The bus route goes through the following streets (as of 2016): Augusta road, giblin st, doyle avenue, ruth dr, pottery rd, athleen av, lenah valley rd, girrabong rd.
