Are the people mainly of low socioeconomic status?

My husband & I might be moving to Perth & his dad lives in Darch. I am concerned about moving to a new suburb & feeling clean, safe & happy are my main concerns. Basically what I'm asking nicely is that are there many ferals/bogans around Madeley & will our dog be safe at home alone? Thanks! :-)
