"The best street in Templestowe!"
Arguably the hottest street in Templestowe! Sarah crescent is surrounded by million dollar and very prestigious properties!! Homes in this street can cost up to $6million even more!! Mostly acre allotments, any one who can afford to live in this street would definetely try to secure a home in this area! Rarely a home pops up for sale in Sarah crescent, but when it does, there will always be interest!!

"Peace and tranquility in the burbs"
Sarah Crescent is a quiet residential street with acre blocks. The houses are of a consistent standard and when there is a sale in the street, the value more than keeps up with inflation. It is a safe area with no crime, and has a neighbourhood watch system providing a measure of security for children. Traffic is consistently quiet, with the occasional house looker on the weekends.
There are not many sales in the street, so I guess most people once they buy into the area like to stay put.
At the moment we have a family of ducks wandering the street in the early morning, so I expect we will soon see little ducklings to. They return every year.
We mostly see the neighbours walking their dogs, or driving out the front gates, so there is nothing to complain about noisy or nosey neighbours.

no sorry the ducks have left home and have not been seen for a few weeks. will keep an eye out for them though
Bummer! Thanks for keeping an eye of for them, though. Cheers!
Hello from the States! Wow, this area looks amazing. I the properties are huge! I am use to living in a more congested environment. I would love to drive out of a big gated area. I was wondering if this street was crime free and you have a neighborhood watch system why do your need the gates. I would be nice to see the outside of a home instead of the land area. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for sharing!
Hiya Satori! Welcome to our little area of the world! I know exactly what you're saying and you are right about the whole "big gates" thing, but here it's not really for any major purpose other than a bit of privacy.
Because the houses up here are all quite large, we do get a lot of sunday drivers out for a look-see at the nice places. Therefore you can be sitting there in your kitchen, wearing your bed clothes and everyone keeps driving past looking at you!! That's when the gates come in handy :)
It's funny to see that houses that haven't finished renovating and they don't have a gate/fence and you really can see exactly what they're doing!!
It's certainly nice to have an area with almost no crime and is kid friendly, but sometimes you just want to be able to feel like you've got your own bit of peace and quiet.
"Luxury Living at it's best!"
I've been living in Sarah Cres for about 15 years now and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. While the public transport and roads are pretty ordinary, the peacful lifestyle along with massive acre blocks make for one hell of a nice place to live.
We've got all the amenities that you can think of - great high speed cable and pay tv as well. Power, water, gas etc are all top notch and it's a pretty rare thing to ever have any of these services drop out.
Most of the neighbours are ok, but with the type of people who live in our street, we rarely get to see them all that often as the younger people are out and about with friends and the older people tend to stick to themselves. This is fine in a way, but you never really get to know who your living near.
Overall, I would have to say that this street is perfect for families with teh big houses and lots of areas to play with good access to primary schools and a few creches near by too.

Hi womper007!
How long have you been living in Sarah Crescent for?
About 15 years, as I said in my review!!
I went for a drive down this street yesterday and was amazed at the sizes of the houses. WOW!!
Where those houses modern or oldish?
Ultra modern? As in, they're rediculous shapes or just NEW but classic styled houses?
"The best street in Templestowe"
I've lived in Sarah Crescent in Templestowe for about 15 years, and I would higly recommend this street to live in, especailly for growing famililies. Lots of space, and closeness to parks and walking tracks is a huge benefit.
It's generally considered one of the wealthier streets in the area. Most of the houses are large, two to three story houses, most with tennis courts and pools. I wouldn't say there is much in the way of neighborly interaction, but most of the people living in the street probably want their privacy anyways, if the tall gates are anything to go by. I dont even know who my neighbors are, mostly because I never see them!
Oh, mobile reception in this street is horrible, so make sure you have a LAN line :)
If your looking in the area this street is an amazing place to live...highly recommended.

Whats a lan line?
Yeah - what is a LAN line - u mean LAND line?
stop dots :)
yeah! What's a lan line?
As far as i know LAN stands for Local Area Network ie. a system for linking computers, printers, private telecommunications equipment etc with each other within an office building for example.
I'll hazard a guess and say AJ meant land line.
Yep, that's what i meant. Thanks for clearing that up beyondbig.
Nice revew Cinnamon :) ANy chance we could see some video's of the duck family? that would be soo cute!
