We love in nearby fawkner and frequents Coburg a lot. It’s really nice and getting more trendy by the day.

We lived here for about a year when we just moved to Melbourne. It’s obviously near to the beach, which is great. Neighbour’s range from rich stuck ups to lower income apartment dwellers. Nothing much in between really. It’s pretty boring and not very trendy. Glen Huntley road has some restaurats but nothing interesting and mostly overpriced. Public transport takes long to reach the city from where we lived, about 35 to 40 minutes, which is about the same as somewhere like Springvale! Trams are very slow. One thing that hit us very hard was hay fever. The are is full of plain trees and it made us really sick during spring! To the extent of actually being in bed unable to operate. But yeah you are near to the beach and it’s kinda pretty.

We lived here for a year and didn’t really enjoy it. There are nice parks and the schools are apparently good. It’s really boring and Neighbour’s are extremely stuck up and unfriendly. For the price you pay it’s soooo not worth it unless you are willing to sacrifice your nice life for your kids education, meaning that they will be with utter stuck up snobs of kids...

This town is bloody awesome! I stumbled upon it about 3 years ago and have been visiting regularly. With lots of scenic places around and new art studios popping up everywhere, and the mine reopening soon, it’s a sure winner. It’s really more about the community feel that you get there than property prospects. It’s a place where people are real and genuine. People help eachother and that is hard to find nowadays. The tuff years Queenstown went through just made this sense of community stronger. Tourism has been improving greatly as well. Go visit if you haven’t been! That whole region is absolutely stunning! Pretty cold in winter but otherwise gorgeous!

I recon Cranbourne has improved so much in the past 2-3 years. The new housing developments surrounding cranbourne attracted good people with young families and Cranbourne is smack bang in the centre of all this. The new mall development is great too. It’s not near melbourne city but the train line is very convenient and good. I hope that in time there will be more ‘cool’ cafes and nightlife activities for younger people. It’s definitely looking better each day and Cranbourne is a far cry from the backwards place it might have been 10-15 years ago.

We moved here about 7 months ago now, and got a place near Merri creek. It’s amazing walking and cycling along Merri creek! So beautiful. We really like it here. There are many new immigrants who sadly don’t always understand how illegal rubbish dumping and littering and things like that lowers the quality of life. Sydney road trafic is pretty bad at times and you can spot the Campelfield drivers so watch out for that. There are many awesome restaurants along there as well. Otherwise it’s really quite good. It’s not as trendy as Coburg or Brunswick yet but hopefully Moreland council has some vision to make it vibrant along Sydney road. I’m not too sure that they do, and they might just be puppets of the developers. It is non the less a nice homely suburb with lots of transport options and a bright future

We lived here for about 2 years before we had to get closer to the Cbd and really enjoyed it. Being close to Springvale, Dandenong and such a frequent railway line is great, as well as M3 and M1 freeways. The demographics have changed heaps and the old story of burglaries and gangs are long gone. It’s true that the area is still improving but I would definitely try to get in before it’s unaffordable. A very under rated suburb for all walks of life.
