A very tough question, and also subjective. The most popular place is Lorenzo and Son's on South Street. The best place in my opinion is a little spot called Soho Pizza on 2nd Street in Old City off of Market Street. It's very very good!

One place is La Rosa's (I think that's the name), it's at Broad and Snyder, South Philly. The absolute best! The other one is Brothers pizza, I guess it's still at Germantown and Venago streets, in the Temple hospital area. I don't know what type of mozzarella cheese they use, but it's the best creamiest cheese I've ever tasted, haven't found pizza anywhere that tastes like theirs. But Philly has probably a thousand good pizza joints, South Philly is a mecca of pizza joints lol .

If you're in Manayunk, you should also check out The Couch Tomato. They have gourmet pizzas that are fantastic, and you can buy by the slice. You have to go there to see what they have for the day in terms of gourmet pizzas, but they always have great meat and veggie options. Their salads are also sooo yummy.

That's a tough one. Philly has some awesome pizza places. The best place was Lorenzo's on South Street but it suffered a fire and is going through renovations. However, it's worth trying out once it reopens. The slices are huge and have that perfect cheesiness to them. Aside from that I would say that Ciao Pizza on 17th & Chestnut. Their buffalo chicken slice is the BEST in the city.

Joe's Pizza in Center City (on 16th St) is really, really good. At lunch time, the line is out the door for this authentic Sicilian pizza. I normally get the Sicilian pepperoni, but have had regular slices and they are great as well!

The BEST pizza shop is on the corner of Cottman and Castor. It's called Little Nicky's. It offers a slice of pizza and a can of soda together for only $2.00 so it's great for students on the way home or anyone who wants a snack. It sells a whole bunch of other pizza with a little profanity in the name, but otherwise great. A second place pizza would be in front of Northeast Highschool on Cottman. It's called Ernie's and its pizza is really great too.
